Everton have now been handed a golden opportunity to sign Kieran Trippier.
David Moyes is eyeing a new right-back for Everton this summer and the long-term target of the club, Trippier, will be available as a free agent.
It was announced over the weekend that the 35-year-old defender would be departing Newcastle United at the end of the season.

Everton learn Kieran Trippier will leave Newcastle as free agent
Everton have targeted Trippier in the past and will now be able to make their move for the experienced defender this summer.
The Englishman has made 17 starts in the Premier League alone this season, but has excelled in the Champions League.
Do you think Seamus Coleman still has something to offer Everton on the pitch? 🤔

Trippier returned three assists in his nine European appearances this season.
Having announced he will become a free agent in the summer, the Newcastle defender will offer Everton a cheap alternative to potentially replacing Coleman.
They may not be able to get many more years out of Trippier, but he has shown his leadership qualities on Tyneside, whilst still offering something on the pitch.
It is a position that is expected to see a lot of change this summer, with Nathan Patterson set to leave Everton finally.
Everton need to sign two right-backs this summer
If Everton were to make a move for Trippier, there must also be a younger alternative signed.
Jake O’Brien wants to return to centre-back and it would not make a lot of sense to rely solely on a 35-year-old at right-back.
The Blues require an attack-minded right-back, and Trippier could still offer that having returned Newcastle 29 assists since joining the Magpies.
However, a younger alternative to either rotate or learn from the veteran would still be required.
Everton’s options at right-back are thin, which has led to James Garner being used there at certain times this season.
It is a position that will need a lot of attention when the summer window opens.
