Impressed Steven Gerrard admits it's been a joy to watch Rangers' rise under "phenomenal" Danny Rohl from afar.
And the Liverpool legend insists he's 'more ready than ever' to get back into the saddle now his family have relocated back to the UK.
Former Ibrox boss Gerrard sensationally pulled out of talks to return to the dugout in October after Russell Martin's sacking, amid concerns over the timing of the move.
At that point Gerrard, along with his wife Alex and his children, was still settled in Bahrain after his stint at Al-Ettifaq and the job instead went to Rohl – who has dragged Gers back from the dead into the heat of a thrilling three-way title race with Hearts and Celtic.
Gerrard is back living in the UK now and teased he's readier than ever to get back into management should the right opportunity arise.
And while he's realistic enough to know that Rangers job might not be vacant again any time soon, that's not stopping him enjoying their impressive resurgence under Rohl.
Gerrard, interviewed live on talkSPORT by Ibrox icon Ally McCoist and Gabby Agbonlahor, said: "He (Rohl) has been phenomenal. What was it, 13 points off the top? What a job. He's come in, he's said all the right things, he's tweaked things on the pitch and his January signings have been immaculate.
"How good is it, Ally, when you win on a Saturday? You're ready for your roast dinner on a Sunday, then you watch the others and the pressure is all on them. It's brilliant, isn't it?"

Gerrard was then pressed on his own future and revealed his family are now based in the UK again after moving back from Bahrain.
Now working primarily as a pundit for TNT Sports, he insists he's in no rush to get back into management.
But should the right opportunity arise for the former Ibrox and Aston Villa manager, he says he's not about to shirk it.
"I'm more ready than I have been," he went on. "My family are back home in Liverpool, the kids are all settled in school. I'm ready (to get back into management). I'm all ears.
"I'm not chasing, I'm not searching. I'm not desperate. I'm in a good place, my work-life balance is fantastic at the moment. But if the right opportunity comes, I'm all ears."
