Callum Hudson-Odoi shares his thoughts on Vitor Pereira's start at Nottingham Forest

Vitor Pereira replaced Sean Dyche as Nottingham Forest manager back in February.

Vitor Pereira has already taken charge of nine Nottingham Forest matches and has averaged 1.22 points per game.

Pereira has urged Forest fans to stick together heading into the run-in, as his side look to secure their Premier League status and advance in the Europa League.

The Portuguese head coach has certainly given them a good chance of avoiding the drop, as the Tricky Trees currently reside three points above the relegation zone.

With that said, Callum Hudson-Odoi has now delivered his verdict on Pereira’s start with the East Midlanders.

Callum Hudson-Odoi says Vitor Pereira is ‘amazing’

Pereira seems to have made a really positive impression around the Wilford Lane training ground, as Hudson-Odoi heaped praise on the former Wolves manager.

Speaking to the Forest Focus podcast, the winger said: “He’s come in and brought that passion, brought that energy and made sure we understand his ideas straight away and you can tell from the way we’re playing how he wants us to play.

“And for every player, you can tell we’re always smiling on the pitch. We’re just trying to bring the best out of each other because that’s what’s going to make us win games and that’s what’s going to make us become the best team that we can.

“So, yeah, he’s been amazing since he’s been here. Everyone’s enjoying our football at the moment. Hopefully he maintains and we do well for the rest of the season.”

Pereira’s biggest test will come on Thursday, when Forest travel to Portuguese giants Porto in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Opta’s supercomputer has Forest as the heavy underdogs, so the expectation is that they’ll be defeated in the first leg.

A big week awaits the club, as they host Aston Villa at the City Ground in the Premier League this weekend, too.
