Everton could land their next Leighton Baines if they make a move for Kieran Trippier.
David Moyes has been longing for some attacking input from his full-backs at Everton since he made his return to the club.
Trippier is set to leave Newcastle United as a free agent this summer amid the ongoing search for a new right-back on Merseyside.
Would this be a good signing on a one-year deal? 🤔
Kieran Trippier question.
The Englishman is a defender who, over the years, has provided an attacking output that has hugely impressed in the Premier League.

Kieran Trippier could be Everton’s next Leighton Baines
Everton hold a long-term interest in Trippier, which could potentially see the Blues consider a move this summer.
The 35-year-old made his name in the Premier League as one of the most productive full-backs of the last decade.

MORE EVERTON STORIES
Impressing across his spells at Burnley, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle, Trippier has racked up 45 goal contributions in the Premier League alone.
Now, those numbers are not quite up to the stunning numbers Baines produced in an Everton shirt, but Trippier is producing more than what Baines did towards the backend of his career on Merseyside.
Premier League Kieran Trippier Leighton Baines
Appearances 222 420
Goals 6 32
Assists 39 56
Baines retired at the age of 35, which Trippier currently is, with his numbers declining in front of goal for Everton.
Although Trippier has also seen a slight decline in his output, he has still offered considerably more than Everton’s current options at right-back.
Trippier has returned four assists across all competitions this season, which is the same figures as Baines was offering in his final couple of full seasons on Merseyside.

Appearances 34 29
Goals 1 3
Assists 4 4
Clearly, Trippier is not going to offer Everton the same goal threat that Baines did, but his ability to put in a good delivery cannot be denied.
It is in comparing Trippier’s current campaign to Baines’ 2017/18 where the potential can be seen.
In fewer games, Trippier has been able to create more chances (27) than Baines (24) and complete considerably more crosses.
Through using Squawka’s comparison matrix, the impact which Trippier could have from right-back for Everton can be seen.

He may not have the legs at the age of 35 to be Everton’s first-choice right-back for next season, but he would certainly offer a considerable upgrade on the likes of Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson.
Moyes is desperate to find a new right-back, but Everton are going to need quality squad options and experience to select from if they are to secure European qualification.
