**West Ham’s loss to Leeds is something the club cannot afford to dwell on with all attention now needed on the relegation battle.**
Our Hammers host Wolves at the London Stadium on Friday night knowing a victory must be realised, with time now ticking on our quest for survival.
However many fans are still feeling the impact of the loss to Leeds which denied the club a welcome trip to Wembley to take on London rivals Chelsea.
Speaking after the loss, The West Ham Way Podcast duo Dave Walker & ExWHUEmployee shared their thoughts, as we now get set for an intense end to the season.
“I can’t help but feel let down to be honest,” stated Walker.
“A quarter final at home against a relegation rival is one that I expected to win and we didn’t even show up for the first hour.
“Another opportunity missed but with no distractions now, let’s get the job done and stay up. That’s the least they can do.”
Ex shared his co-hosts thoughts, with the feeling that we have missed out on a real big opportunity for the club.
“It was a really disappointing result to take on having fought so dramatically to get back into it,” added Ex.
“We miss out on a Wembley semi with rivals Chelsea and whilst the sensible answer that the league is more important is probably true as a fan it’s a massive shame to miss out on occasions like this.”
