Sean Dyche reveals what Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is really like

Sean Dyche was sacked by Nottingham Forest back in February.

Despite that, Dyche says he still holds Forest close to his heart and really hopes the club survive relegation under Vitor Pereira’s stewardship.

“Forest. No chance. Do I want them to hit the skids? No chance. Even now. Not an angry bone in my body,” the 54-year-old said last month.

Sean Dyche heaps praise on Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis

Dyche has heaped praise on Marinakis for his treatment towards the players and explained that he was excellent at handling certain private matters.

“There are some things ownership do well and I know Mr Marinakis in particular, I must give him a shout on this, he looked after a few players properly with private situations, incredible what he supported them with,” the former Forest boss stated.

“But there’s another side of that and he wants to be involved and like I say it’s not any question of him at all, he was fine with me, but what I’m saying that’s his style, that’s what he wants.

“So I’m saying you’ve got to know that as a manager, you’ve got to go in there eyes open and know what you’re going to manage, know the situation, which I did. My eyes were wide open.

“I went in for the badge, it’s simple as that, wore my heart on my sleeve, which is unusual for me I’m a bit more measured normally.”

Dyche has been very complimentary of Forest since leaving, which shows his willingness to maintain a good relationship with the fanbase.
