Manchester United Under-21s will take on Real Madrid in the Premier League International Cup quarter-finals tonight. The competition initially featured 16 English academy teams and 16 of the top development squads from European nations.
The teams were split into four groups, each comprising four English sides and four teams from Europe, and United secured three wins to advance to the quarter-finals.
United beat Athletic Bilbao, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon in the group stage, but they will face their toughest challenge yet when they welcome Madrid to Old Trafford this evening
Adam Lawrence will have a strong U21 team at his disposal, though. Shea Lacey did not travel to Dublin for the first-team's training camp in order to be available against Los Blancos.
