West Ham drop the Crysencio Summerville update that changes everything

West Ham United have finally dropped the official Crysencio Summerville update everyone has been waiting for and it comes at just the right time.

The Hammers are about to embark on seven of the most important games in their modern history as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fights to secure Premier League survival.

West Ham will likely need at least three – if not four – wins during the run-in in order to stay up.

So basement side Wolves at home is understandably being seen as a must-win for the Hammers.

West Ham issue official Summerville update and it’s looking good

If West Ham do stay up it will have a lot to do with one man in particular – Crysencio Summerville.

The flying Dutchman is the only reason West Ham are even in with a shout of staying in the top flight.

His seven goals in 10 appearances saw the Irons close a 12-point gap on Spurs to just one.

But Summerville has missed the last three games with a calf injury as the club races against time to get him back on the pitch.

Now West Ham have dropped the Summerville update that changes everything.

Hammers News exclusively revealed the extent of Summerville’s injury and his West Ham return date the day after it happened against Brentford last month.

A host of other media outlets claimed the 24-year-old would be back for the game at Villa before the international break – but Hammers News stated on several occasions that Summerville would be out until Wolves.

That has proved to be the case so far and West Ham have played their cards close to their chest on Summerville of late – until now.

West Ham say star Summerville’s ‘full focus’ is on Wolves

Prior to this evening, the only official word coming from the club arrived via head coach Nuno, who insisted Summerville is being assessed day-to-day and ‘needed more time’ before the Leeds cup clash.

Hammers News has consistently reported that the fan favourite will be ready to return to face Wolves on Friday.

Now that seems to have been all but confirmed by West Ham themselves.

In an update that everyone connected with the Hammers has been waiting for, West Ham have posted a picture of Summerville heading out to full training at Rush Green with the caption: “Full focus on Friday.”

With fears of a nine-player West Ham crisis being addressed, witnessing Summerville back in training is a sight for sore eyes.

The post was a clear message that Summerville is back and on course for his all-important return this weekend.

The Hammers also sent another post from training designed to address speculation in the press.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed the Leeds game after the president of Congo refused to release national team players to leave the country until after a gathering he arranged to celebrate their World Cup qualification.

Wan-Bissaka was permitted to travel back to London on Monday.

And West Ham posted images of the full-back – another essential player to the team’s survival chances – in training at Rush Green too.

Interestingly, another absentee vs Leeds, Konstantinos Mavropanos, can be spotted training in the background behind Wan-Bissaka as he too returns after following a 10-day concussion protocol.

In further good news, Callum Wilson and Jean-Clair Todibo have also been seen in training pictures which are yet to be posted online.
