Everton fan group the 1878s have announced their plans for an exciting flag display ahead of the first-ever Merseyside derby at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Liverpool surely set to be at a disadvantage.
The Toffees will host their arch nemesis on Sunday, 19 April, in a Merseyside derby that has more than usual resting on the game.
Both sides are hoping to finish as high as they can in the Premier League this season, as failure to qualify for the Champions League could spell bad news for Arne Slot.
David Moyes‘ side were beaten 2-1 by the Reds in the reverse fixture earlier this season, but the stars are starting to align for a sweet revenge in a first victory over their noisy neighbours on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey.
Everton are close to securing a spot in Europe for next season, and the 1878s are doing their bit to give the Blues every possible advantage.

James Tarkowski made himself a hero when scoring against Liverpool to level things up very late on in the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park last campaign.
Now, Hill Dickinson Stadium looks to be primed for another player to step up and make themselves a hero against Slot’s men.

Everton have already made Hill Dickinson look spectacular in the Premier League this season, and small margins like this can be what gives Moyes’ side the edge in big games.
Everton are catching Liverpool at the right time; here’s why
Everton could be playing Liverpool at the perfect time, with uncertainty around Slot’s future at the club growing, amid tensions among the fanbase.
Despite winning the Premier League last season, Liverpool fans seem to have turned on their manager, who has the full backing of the board for the foreseeable future.
Liverpool supporters will be rightly scared in the build-up to this one, and Slot will know that the pressure is on him to pull out a big result.
Liverpool have won just two games in their last seven
The Reds play three times before the derby, whereas Everton have one fixture
Liverpool could be knocked out of the Champions League by PSG before playing the Toffees
Everton will also be glad to see that Mohamed Salah is leaving Anfield at the end of the season, as the Egyptian currently looks a shadow of the player who has haunted the Blues one too many times.
It’s hard not to get carried away, as Moyes and Everton could be in for one of the best endings to a season in a long time, and Hill Dickinson can have a huge part to play in that.
