Jack Moorhouse is the man of the hour at Manchester United right now, and he proved the talk is justified with his brilliant goal against Real Madrid U21.
While at an intense training camp at Canton House in Kildare, Ireland, Amad praised Jack Moorhouse, claiming that the versatile attacker has the quality to play for Manchester United one day.
Jack Moorhouse has been in and around the first team for the best part of a year, taking a momentary break to join Leyton Orient on loan for the first half of this season.
Since returning, Moorhouse has been impressive for United at a U21 level while training with the first team often. Now, he’s just had his biggest moment yet.
Who was Man United U21’s man of the match vs Real Madrid?

Jack Moorhouse scores a wonder goal against Real Madrid U21
On Tuesday night, Moorhouse started as a left-winger for United in the Premier League International Cup quarter-final. United wound up losing 4-2 against Real Madrid, despite leading 2-0 in the first half.
It will have been a disappointing outcome for the team, but Moorhouse individually had a night to remember.
At Old Trafford, Moorhouse scored what is one of the best goals you will see all season, as he drove with the ball away from goal before then rifling his shot into the top corner.

The goal was impressive in itself, but what made it more brilliant was that he scored it in response to Adam Lawrence’s challenge to Moorhouse over the weekend ahead of this game.
“There’s no bigger fan of Jack than me”, Lawrence explained. “He’s a lovely player. He receives the ball on the back foot, the way that he can travel and glide with the ball.
“What we’re looking for him to do between now and the end of the season, in those under-21s games, like against Madrid, 21s play-offs, is show he can perform at the elite level and make the difference. We feel he can.”
Well, Lawrence’s challenge was certainly passed with flying colours by Moorhouse as he left his mark on the game despite a loss.
How GOOD can Jack Moorhouse become?

Moorhouse’s goal was a statement that Michael Carrick cannot ignore
In his interview ahead of the game, Lawrence also mentioned how Moorhouse wasn’t getting the same first-team opportunities as Jack Fletcher or Shea Lacey.
Stating that it is down to the player to catch the coach’s eye, well, the goal he scored against Madrid should have more than blown Michael Carrick away.
To take the ball where he did and just create the opening and shoot with such conviction and devastating quality, Moorhouse deserves massive amounts of praise.
Performing like this will mean it is a matter of time until Moorhouse is considered ready to become the latest academy graduate at United. But he needs to keep it up.
