Liverpool are reportedly holding talks over a potential move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, with fresh claims suggesting the Frenchman could become available under the right conditions.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, discussions have taken place regarding the midfielder’s situation, although any move remains far from straightforward.
He reports for Sky Sports Switzerland: “This is an unexpected situation for a player long considered one of the cornerstones of Real Madrid’s future.
“According to our information, Real Madrid are open to a sale should a convincing offer be made, with a price tag of around €80 million . A significant sum, but still within reach for several top European clubs.
“Behind the scenes, things are heating up. Camavinga’s agency,CAAStellar, has already made contact with several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal, two teams looking to strengthen their midfield.
“The Frenchman’s versatility, capable of playing both as a defensive midfielder and a box-to-box midfielder, is particularly appealing in England. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is also monitoring the situation closely, ready to enter the race if a concrete opportunity arises.”

Links between Liverpool and Camavinga coming thick and fast: is it true?
First links to Camavinga came from unreliable outlets in Spain in early January, before the reliable Matteo Moretto reported that Liverpool have been told they can sign him for a cut price of €50 million in mid-March.
Then this week, Fabrizio Romano claimed that Camavinga “remains a really, really important player” and is “not out of the project or a player they have to sell at all costs”.
That said, the Italian added: “But… if they receive a good proposal, Real Madrid could consider the situation of Camavinga in the summer. That’s the case, that’s the situation.”
Now, reports indicate that Madrid want around £70m (€80m) for the French star.
At that price point, Camavinga is no longer as attractive to Liverpool given their plans to sign a defensive midfielder in the summer transfer window.
However, the 23-year-old is so talented that if there is any chance to pry him away from Madrid, it should be explored at the very least.
