Adam Armstrong is relishing a ‘tasty’ set of fixtures as Wolves start their season run-in at West Ham.

Rob Edwards’ side travel to face their fellow relegation-threatened opponents on Friday night in the first of their final seven fixtures of the season.

It begins a potentially campaign-defining spell for teams fighting the drop, as Wolves’ next three matches sees them take on the Hammers, Leeds and Spurs, who are all in the mix to go down.

Although Wolves are likely to be relegated, they come into the game in good form and Armstrong is eager to maintain the performance level.

“We have to approach it how we have in the last three or four weeks, with the good positive results that we've had,” the striker said.

“We've had a long break without a game, which is a bit weird, but we'll be fully focusing on West Ham.

“The run of games is tasty for us and it's something that we have to enjoy.

“As a footballer you want to be involved in the biggest games and the best games and we've certainly got that in the next seven games.

“I can't really speak too much on things that happened before I was here, but I've come into this team and it's a team that shouldn't be bottom of the league in my opinion.

“You see it in training every day. The performances have picked up, the results have picked up and you can only look ahead and that's what we're trying to do.

“Take every game as it comes. The standards that we drive is to try and be the best and that's what we've been doing.”

Wolves come into the clash following a 25-day break in fixtures.

The players were given some time off, while some were on international duty, ahead of an extended period of training at Compton.

“It's an unusual break,” he added.

“I don't think I've had this long off before without a game but we've been training hard with a few days off here and there and ready for the next game.

“We got some time off, just chilled with the family, with the kids and having a bit of peace and quiet.”
