Eduardo Camavinga is a name that won’t go away, with the Real Madrid star identified as an ideal midfield addition for Liverpool this summer.
With an eye to strengthening the midfield unit, Liverpool have identified Camavinga as a viable option, and a transfer that would be a statement to the Premier League that the Reds are set on bouncing back next season.
The player is happy at the Bernabeu, and there’s no massive need for the Spanish giants to get him off the books. That said, a deal is there to be reached, and Liverpool have every intention of testing the waters for a player who they not only admire for his ability, but for his character as well.
Would any Liverpool players realistically get into PSG’s starting XI?
Surely we've got no chance against them 😣

Liverpool’s glowing assessment of Eduardo Camavinga after background checks
That the Reds are doing their due diligence on the Frenchman is yet another sign that this is a realistic transfer. The versatile midfielder has all the technical and physical traits you could want in the middle of the park, but his temperament is also right in line with Liverpool’s vision.
A report from TEAMtalk outlines how the recruitment team have approached this potential move.
They quote a source close to the situation saying: “Listen, keep an eye on Camavinga and Liverpool, they love him. As a player, but also his character — they have already done a lot of background work on him.”

The 23-year-old is a player Liverpool have admired since his days at Rennes. He offers a different dimension to Arne Slot, as a far more defensively solid option than what we currently have. His ability to play left-back, out wide, and everywhere in the midfield make him even more attractive.

But just as important as tactical fit is the culture fit, and from what the Reds have seen, they have concluded that he fits the mold of a Liverpool player.
The same report claims Camavinga’s representation are ‘actively assessing options’, with Liverpool’s interest ‘intensified’ in recent weeks. An agreement is possible, and it could be facilitated by a current Red going the other way.
Alexis Mac Allister could go to Real Madrid in a Camavinga swap
Liverpool’s World Cup winner has struggled this season. He looks fatigued and is lacking that edge going forward that made him such a Swiss army knife last season.
Mac Allister harbours a Real Madrid dream, and the context of this Camavinga interest could open the door to a blockbuster swap deal.

Los Blancos are huge admirers, and this is a situation that ‘could develop rapidly’ in the coming weeks.
I like Mac Allister a lot, but Camavinga is the profile we need to stop getting overrun in the middle of the park. It’s a deal worth doing, either for a fee or as a straight swap.
