JURGEN KLOPP didn’t hesitate in bringing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017.
The legendary Anfield boss sanctioned a £35million move for the England international midfielder who spent six years at the Merseyside outfit.
Klopp insists only nagging fitness problems, prevented Oxlade-Chamberlain, who won a Premier title and a Champions League medal, from going all the way to achieving superstar status.

Reflecting on his time at the Reds with the player, the German gaffer, speaking on The Peter Crouch Podcast, said: “Ox, with his dynamism, with his speed, without the injuries, Ox would have gone through the roof 100%.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain, at the age of 32, joined Celtic on a short-term deal as a free agent in February after being released by Besiktas in August the previous year.
The talented middle-of-the-park performer had switched to the Turkish giants in August 2023 after coming out of contract at Liverpool.

Now he has six league games and, hopefully, two Scottish Cup-ties to prove he is worth a contract extension at the champions.
It would be true to say the unfortunate Oxlade-Chamberlain deserves a rub of the green.
