Sunderland issue urgent season ticket warning as deadline looms with 15,000 fans on waiting list

Supporters have until Saturday to renew, with demand high and thousands waiting to take any unclaimed seats

Sunderland have issued a fresh reminder to supporters to renew their season tickets ahead of this weekend’s deadline, with demand expected to surge once the window closes.

Fans have until 12pm on Saturday, April 11 to secure their seat for the 2026-27 campaign, with the club stressing there will be no automatic renewals this year. Sunderland have told The Echo that uptake has already been “exceptionally high” during the renewal period, and with more than 15,000 supporters on the waiting list, any unclaimed seats will be quickly snapped up once they are released.

All existing season ticket holders must actively renew via their online account by clicking here, where personalised pricing has been applied. The club has also confirmed that supporters who have held their seat continuously since the 2022-23 season will receive the lowest available renewal price, recognising their loyalty. A range of payment options are available, including a six-month Direct Debit plan at no extra cost, alongside card payment plans, full upfront payments and digital wallet options.

Following the deadline, any unrenewed seats will be made available to supporters on the waiting list from 5pm on Monday, April 20, with priority access given to those who joined the list before February 23. The club has urged supporters to act early to avoid disappointment, particularly given the current level of demand. Looking ahead, the 2026-27 season will also form part of Sunderland’s wider investment into the Stadium of Light, including further developments to the matchday experience and expanded safe standing areas. With interest high and availability limited, supporters are being encouraged to secure their place before the deadline passes.
