West Ham defender Ines Belloumou has received a call-up to the Algeria squad for their upcoming international break, where they will face South Africa in a pair of friendly fixtures.
The full-back links up once again with Les Fennecs for the double-header, aiming to return to action following the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which has now been rescheduled for July after originally being set for March.
Both matches will take place in Johannesburg, with the first scheduled for Tuesday, 14 April at 1pm BST. The sides will meet again on Friday 17 April, although the kick-off time for the second fixture is still to be confirmed.
Belloumou heads into international duty in strong form, having started each of West Ham’s last three Barclays Women’s Super League matches. During that run, she played a key role in helping the Hammers secure a valuable clean sheet against Manchester United in March.
The No7, who was named Algerian Player of the Year in 2025, switched her international allegiance from France last year and impressed at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. She has featured 15 times for West Ham so far this season.
