West Ham could be set for double fitness boost ahead of Wolves clash

West Ham are hoping for a double fitness boost ahead of their clash with Wolves - with the club also putting in a complaint into FIFA over another player.

The Hammers, managed by former boss Nuno, are in desperate need of points as they currently occupy the final spot in the relegation zone.

They are a point from safety as they face a Wolves side who have had three and a half weeks since their last outing.

West Ham have a number of injury issues ahead of the game, but could be set to welcome Crysencio Summerville back after injury.

Nuno confirmed he is improving - while striker Callum Wilson is also in contention.

He told The Athletic: “Summerville is improving. Him, Todibo and Wilson are improving. We are positive that they can be available (against Wolves).

“Mavropanos is also clear of the concussion protocol."

Elsewhere, it has been confirmed ahead of Friday’s game that West Ham have submitted an official complaint to FIFA, alleging DR Congo did not sanction Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s release to return to his parent club.

The right back missed the Hammer’s FA Cup penalty shootout defeat to Leeds.

He had been part of the Congo side that qualified for the World Cup via a play-off - and then went with the national team for celebrations in the country.

However, West Ham have submitted a complaint because they did not give permission for him to stay in Congo.
