Everton outline 'fair' process over Season Ticket holders moving seats at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Everton confirm the details of the seat move process for Season Ticket Members who wish to relocate at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Everton have confirmed details of the seat move process for Season Ticket Members who wish to relocate for the 2026/27 campaign at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

After 133 years at Goodison Park, the Blues relocated to their new 52,769 capacity home on the Mersey waterfront last August, which has enabled them to be watched by the biggest regular crowds in their history. Everton have only once enjoyed an average attendance figure over a season that’s been north of 50,000 when they recorded 51,603 for the 1962/63 title-winning campaign.

However, as supporters get used to their new surroundings, there is an appetite among some of the fanbase to switch their seats to other parts of the ground and Everton are preparing for this process. A club statement reads: “As we approach the final two months of our first season at the club’s new home, the club is committed to providing flexibility of choice for Season Ticket Members who would like to move to a new seat for the Premier League campaign that begins in August.

“It has been a season of transition and familiarisation for many supporters, following the move from Goodison Park. And, from surveys that have been conducted over the course of the season, it is clear some fans are keen to review their seating location for 2026/27.

“That may mean relocating to be closer to friends or family, moving to a preferred area of the stadium, or selecting a new location that is more suitable for the desired matchday experience.

“The club intends to accommodate as many seat move requests as possible, subject to demand. Following engagement with fan groups and feedback gathered through supporter surveys, a fair and structured process has been developed to maximise opportunity while protecting the seats of Season Ticket Members who wish to remain in their current location.

“The club recognises the importance of seating location to the overall matchday experience and remains committed to delivering a fair and transparent process for all Season Ticket Members.”

How will the process work?

Supporters wishing to move seats must first renew their Season Ticket(s) as early as possible during the renewal window, dates of which will be communicated later this week. Renewal secures the existing seat(s) for the 2026/27 season.

Season Ticket Members who renew earlier will be prioritised with earlier seat move windows, giving them the greatest choice of available seats across the stadium.

At the point of renewal, there will be no immediate requirement to indicate that a seat move is being considered. Once the renewal window for existing Season Ticket Members has closed and the Fan Centre team has confirmed any seats that have not been renewed, a phased series of seat move windows will commence.

All Season Ticket Members who have renewed will be contacted by email with details of their allocated time window and the deadline by which any seat move selection must be completed should they wish to relocate. Seat move windows will be allocated in a phased order based on renewal timing, meaning those who renew earlier will have earlier access to available seats.

The seat move process will be managed online via supporters’ ticketing accounts. During their allocated window, Season Ticket Members will be able to choose from all remaining eligible and available seats across the stadium. Once a seat move has been confirmed, the Member’s original seat will then be released back into the available seating inventory for other supporters to select.

Season Ticket Members who require assistance will be able to contact the Everton Fan Centre for support. Seat move opportunities will be offered in a phased and sequenced order to ensure:

Existing Season Ticket Members are prioritised ahead of any new sales from the Season Ticket waiting list.

Moves are managed fairly and transparently.

Availability is maximised once non-renewed seats are confirmed.

Should a Season Ticket Member opt to move to a seat in a different pricing bracket to their existing seat, they will either be required to pay the price difference (if moving to a higher bracket) or will be refunded the difference (if moving to a lower bracket). To find out more about this process, read the FAQs here.

Further details regarding seat move key dates and criteria will be communicated directly to supporters who renew their Season Ticket(s).

Please note, while every effort will be made to accommodate requests, availability will depend entirely on:

The number of Season Ticket Members who renew.

The number of seats not taken up.

The areas of the stadium where seats become available.

Some areas of Hill Dickinson Stadium remain in high demand and may have limited availability.
