Nottingham Forest plotting move to sign Wolves star Vitor Pereira managed at Molineux - report

Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira is looking to raid his former club Wolves for a player he signed at Molineux last summer, according to a report from Sports Boom.

After a disappointing 2025/2026 season, Forest will be forced to strengthen their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window if they remain in the Premier League.

The Tricky Trees saw their survival chances boosted significantly in their previous Premier League game, beating fellow relegation candidates Tottenham away from home, securing a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Survival is still not guaranteed, but Pereira and his team will feel they are in a strong position to avoid the drop.

If they do, it could be a busy summer window as they look to avoid being dragged into the battle next campaign.

Nottingham Forest Plot Wolves Raid

Ladislav Krejci celebrating after scoring for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Manchester United in the Premier League

According to a report from Sports Boom, Nottingham Forest are plotting a potential move to sign Ladislav Krejci of Wolves in the summer transfer window.

Although Krejci was only brought in on loan by Wolves last summer, David Ornstein reported at the time that there was a buy option included that would be triggered after playing a certain number of games.

So far this season, Krejci has started 23 Premier League games, so you'd imagine the clause will be triggered by the end of the season.

Pereira knows Krejci well after bringing him to Molineux last summer, before working with the defender before he was sacked as their manager a few months into the season.

Krejci's Versatility Useful to Forest

Krejci's versatility could be useful to Forest, especially considering how their summer transfer window might work out.

Elliot Anderson and Murillo have both been linked with a move away from The City Ground, and with Krejci able to play in midfield and defence, it could be a smart addition for Forest.

Wolves look destined to be relegated from the Premier League this season, which means Forest could secure his signature for a reasonable fee.

Krjeci will likely want to return to the Premier League, or top-level football at least, so the Midlands club could be an attractive prospect in the summer.
