Who is Said El Mala? Meet the £44m 'street footballer' Everton are expected to bid for, amid…

German news outlet BILD are expecting Everton to make a bid for Said El Mala.

The FC Koln No.7 is also of interest to Brighton, Newcastle and Brentford thanks to his starring performances this season, in which he has netted ten goals and assisted another four in 28 Bundesliga appearances so far.

FC Koln have slapped a €50m (£44m) valuation on his head as a result of these fine displays.

As Everton monitor El Mala ahead of a potential bid, let us take a closer look at what the Germany international could offer David Moyes at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton could sign the new Kingsley Coman in “street footballer” Said El Mala

The Toffees need a bit more flair from the streets like Iliman Ndiaye has brought to Merseyside, and El Mala could deliver exactly that.

Lukas Kwasniok, Head Coach of FC Koln, has previously called the Everton target a “street footballer” who has been blessed with “God-given gifts” in football, also praising his character.

The official Bundesliga website quote the 44-year-old as saying: “Said is a good boy, a street footballer who simply has God-given gifts.”

Another story from the Bundesliga on El Mala makes a comparison to former Bayern Munich star and France international Kingsley Coman, one of the best attackers of this generation who can boast a remarkable 13 league titles in his career so far at the age of only 29.

It is said that El Mala – who is just 19 years of age – is similar to Coman due to his tendency to cut inside from the left flank onto his stronger right foot, where he causes chaos for opponents with his “technical flair and instinctive finishing” in the final third.

£44m is a lot to pay for a teenager untested outside of Germany, and Everton will be wary of making an expensive mistake after the £40m signing of Tyler Dibling back in August, which is yet to pay off.

However, by all accounts in the German media, El Mala is a player worth investing in.

How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷‍♂️

It's going to need some turnaround from the youngster 😫
