Khvicha Kvaratskhelia makes claim about 'incredible' Anfield straight after scoring against Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain goal scorer Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is looking forward to meeting Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League quarter-final second-leg.

The Georgian hit what could end up being a crucial second goal during Wednesday’s first-leg, putting PSG in control of the tie as they head to Merseyside.

Not many Liverpool supporters will be feeling confident after watching their team put in another dour performance, but speaking straight after the game, Kvaratskhelia said he is anticipating an ‘incredible’ atmosphere at Anfield.

Do you still think Liverpool can turn the quarter-final around at Anfield?

Kvaratskhelia ready for Anfield atmosphere

Kvaratskhelia and his PSG teammates will know what to expect from Anfield having played the Reds last season.

They came out on top on that occasion, and a repeat would see them advance to the semi-finals once again.

Clearly, they are taking things one step at a time, though, with journalist Fabrizio Romano relaying some quotes from Kvaratskhelia which suggest PSG are not counting their chickens just yet.

“We are going to play at Anfield, in an incredible atmosphere,” said the 25-year-old. “We’re ready.”

While the Liverpool supporters in attendance will certainly do their best to help their team out, Kvaratskhelia and co do not need to be wary ahead of next week’s match.

Arne Slot’s side rolled the red carpet out for him to make it 2-0 on Wednesday, and there will likely be more diabolical attempts from Liverpool players in the second-leg.

Anfield will try its best, but PSG need not worry. There is no coming back from this for this Liverpool team.
