Arne Slot admitted that Liverpool were ‘lucky’ to only lose 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds have a significant mountain to climb if they are to turn around the Champions League quarter-final. Despite Slot deploying a five-man defence, they were completely dominated by PSG, with Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on target either side of half-time.

PSG, the reigning European champions, had 19 shots in total with Liverpool failing to hit the target with a solitary effort. The Reds were indebted to goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who made several big saves.
