Another ex-Brighton man joins Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham

The Brighton link grows at Tottenham after Roberto De Zerbi appointment

Ex-Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has brought in two members of staff with him to Tottenham.

Spurs announced that Marcattilio Marcattilii and Marcello Quinto have joined as fitness coach and senior professional development phase coach respectively.

Marcattilii has spent a number of years with De Zerbi, first working with him at Italian outfit Foggia in 2015.

Meanwhile, Quinto reunites with De Zerbi at Tottenham after they were together at Brighton and Marseille.

De Zerbi did have five other staff members during his time at Brighton and Marseille, but they have not joined him at Spurs, which includes long-term assistant Andrea Maldera.

Bruno Saltor will remain at Tottenham

Spurs have confirmed assistant and ex-Seagull Bruno Saltor, who joined last month after the arrival of Igor Tudor, will remain alongside Andreas Georgson, Cameron Campbell and Fabian Otte, who all joined in the summer.

Dean Brill and Stuart Lewis, who have previously supported the first-team this season after spells in Tottenham’s youth coaching set-up, will continue in those roles.

There had been speculation that ex-AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta and ex-Spurs midfielder Sandro may be part of De Zerbi’s backroom staff, but they will not be involved for now.

De Zerbi’s debut fixture at Tottenham is Sunday’s trip to Sunderland. Brighton travel to Tottenham on April 18.
