Aston Villa are among a host of clubs closely monitoring Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte ahead of the summer, according to Sky Sport Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The West Midlands side, along with Juventus and Newcastle, are keeping tabs on Ugarte’s situation as he looks set to leave United following a difficult season under both Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick.
Ugarte has played just 915 minutes of football in 2025-26, making seven Premier League starts and another 14 top-flight appearances off the bench.
United welcomed the Uruguayan from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 on a five-year contract, with an option to extend the deal for another season.

Manuel Ugarte in action for Manchester United
According to Tavolieri, United have placed a valuation of around £35m on Ugarte ahead of the summer, and it is believed that concrete discussions regarding a potential move could begin as early as May or June.
Juventus are closely monitoring the Uruguayan’s situation and believe their chances of securing Ugarte could be boosted if they qualify for the Champions League.
The Bianconeri could face competition from both Villa and Newcastle for the ‘unbelievable’ midfielder, who was targeted by Turkish giants Galatasaray in January.
While United refused to entertain an exit at that time, they are not expected to stand in Ugarte’s way amid his desire to secure regular playing time elsewhere next season.
The Old Trafford side are planning significant changes in midfield this summer and could welcome two fresh faces amid the impending departure of Casemiro.
The Brazilian midfielder has announced he will leave United at the end of his contract in June, bringing an end to his four-year spell at the club.
Mandela Keita on Aston Villa’s List
Mandela Keita
Aston Villa have also registered their interest in Parma midfielder Mandela Keita in recent weeks and are among Premier League sides monitoring the Belgium international ahead of the summer.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been a key player for the Serie A club this season, starting 29 of 31 games and registering one assist in over 2,400 minutes of action.
Any deal for Keita is unlikely to come cheaply, with Parma looking to generate a substantial profit on the Belgian, who joined the club in 2024 for around €12m.
Serie A side Bologna, as well as Premier League outfits Tottenham and Brighton, are also believed to be paying close attention to the 23-year-old.
