The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust says it is “not acceptable” that a date for their club’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea has yet to be finalised.

The Wembley clash is due to take place on the weekend of April 25, which is just over two weeks away. More than 30,000 tickets are expected to be allocated to Leeds fans for the tie.

Travel and accommodation will need to be booked for many supporters who get a ticket, as they watch their team play in an FA Cup semi-final for the first time in 39 years. However, details have still yet to be released.

All the while, supporters are having to organise transport and hotels for a midweek away visit to Bournemouth the Wednesday (April 22) before the trip to Wembley a few days later. Leeds United themselves have still not been told what date they will play Chelsea.

The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust has now released a statement urging for the date and details to be sorted quickly.

It said: “We have reached out to both [Leeds United FC] and [The Football Supporters’ Association] to understand the slowness in announcing details for The FA cup semi-final.

“Having liaised with the club, they are still in the dark and waiting on governing bodies, the police and broadcaster to come to a final decision. We’re all frustrated at the length of time it is taking whilst also planning the rearranged midweek fixture.

“It’s not acceptable that we go into the fourth day since the draw, with no details leaving thousands of fans in limbo.”

Out of all the semi-finalists, Leeds have the furthest to travel. Sunday, April 26 meanwhile sees the 2026 London Marathon take place, which will come into policing considerations. Leeds have played on a Sunday in every round of the FA Cup so far this season.
