Club still waiting for Liverpool money to arrive – Forced to ask for emergency loan

**Swedish side AIK have requested a loan because they still have not received their share of Alexander Isak’s move to [Liverpool](https://sportwitness.co.uk/category/premier-league/liverpool/).**

[Fotboll STHM report comments from AIK CEO Fredrik Söderberg today.](https://fotbollsthlm.se/aik/aik-vill-lana-upp-till-tio-miljoner-av-den-svarta-massan-vitalt/) He confirmed that the club have turned to the financial association Den Svarta Massan for help.

Isak money delayed

------------------

Fotboll STHM explain that Den Svarta Massan is a financial association where AIK supporters can support their club by buying shares.

The association has sponsored and lent money to the Swedish club for various reasons since 2012aid any financial difficulties. It lent AIK five million kronor in 2025, the last time they did so.

Now AIK have asked again, with financial difficulties forcing their hand. AIK want to borrow 10 million kronor, as FIFA have not paid out their part of Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool last summer.

AIK are owed 33 million kronor from that deal, around £2.64m, due to FIFA’s Solidarity Scheme. But FIFA have delayed the payment after changing the rules in the payment system.

Previously the two clubs involved paid each other directly but now it goes through a ‘FIFA bank’. According to AIK this means it takes longer. Now they need to cover themselves as the delays continue.

Loan application confirmed

--------------------------

AIK CEO Fredrik Söderberg confirms the news to Fotboll Sthlm.

“AIK FF has applied for a loan, and FIFA Clearing House’s significant delays to solidarity compensation payments have driven it,” he said.

“For us, this is vital because the club will receive a large fee from the sale of Alexander Isak. FIFA owe SEK 33 million in total, and we do not know when they will pay it. Of that amount, 75% will go to AIK FF.”

Den Svarta Massan will now decide whether to lend the money. The association will likely say yes. Members approved the previous loan application by an almost unanimous majority.

This one is likely to follow suit, helping AIK out as they wait for their slice of Alexander Isak’s mega move to Liverpool last summer.
