Shea Lacey and Amir Ibragimov rave about Man Utd youngster after sensational moment

Manchester United’s U21 side took on Real Madrid earlier this week, losing 4-2 in the Premier League International Cup quarter-final round.

But in spite of the disappointing defeat, Manchester United played well against Madrid with a 2-0 lead, showing how good the starting group of players was. Ultimately, the physicality and senior experience of the Spanish side played a key role.

Godwill Kukonki was a standout at left-back, looking like he had no problems at all at that level. While Shea Lacey added another goal to his U21 tally this season, continuing to stake his claim for first-team football.

But the star of the show was Jack Moorhouse, with his goal in particular catching the eye. Now his teammates have been reacting.

Who was Man United U21’s man of the match vs Real Madrid?

Despite a 4-2 loss, there were plenty of performances worth being excited about.

Jack Moorhouse’s performance vs Real Madrid Castilla leaves teammates impressed

Moorhouse was fantastic against Madrid, scoring one of the goals of the season and making himself a standout performer despite the Red Devils’ defeat.

After the game, Spanish press were raving about Moorhouse, impressed with the 20-year-old’s ability. Now, in the comments on Moorhouse’s latest Instagram post, his teammates have also been impressed.

Lacey commented, “Roof”, which could either be a compliment at Moorhouse’s finish into the roof of the net or on his potential, which is beyond the ceiling.

With Jaydan Kamason saying, “The best”. Followed by Sonny Aljofree commenting, “Some boy”.

Jack Moorhouse responded perfectly to Amad gauntlet

The morning of the Castilla vs United game saw Amad challenge Moorhouse to become a first-team player, stating that it would be up to him to achieve it.

“I think yeah, it’s up to him to do well, work hard, be humble,” Amad said.

“He knows how the club is. If you want to be the maximum level, you have to work hard. A club like United, you demand a lot. I wish him all the best.”

Moorhouse was told a similar thing by Adam Lawrence, who placed pressure on the winger/midfielder to demand that he make an impact in big games.

Moorhouse did exactly this against Madrid, rightfully earning his teammates’ adoration, and surely also the coaches. But the impressive thing would be to perform like this again on Friday in more U21 action.
