Wow: Liverpool"love"Champions League-winning ace and have"done a lot of background work"

Liverpool continue to be linked with a summer move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, with a new report saying they “love” him as a player.

The Reds toiled yet again in the middle of the park against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening, with Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai all comprehensively outplayed.

It highlighted the need for midfield reinforcements at the end of the season, with all three of Liverpool’s starters loosely linked with moves away in recent months, and Curtis Jones struggling to kick on in his career.

Now, according to a fresh claim from TEAMtalk, the Reds “love” Camavinga as a potential summer option, with the Champions League winner potentially available in the coming months:

“Listen, keep an eye on Camavinga and Liverpool, they love him. As a player, but also his character – they have already done a lot of background work on him.Likewise, the same can be said of Real and Mac Allister – he is one they have done work on, and they like everything they have heard and found out.”

Sign Eduardo Camavinga up, Liverpool!

Camavinga would be a statement signing by Liverpool ahead of next season, with the Frenchman a proven top-level player capable of dominating midfield battles for many years to come.

Still only 23 years of age, the France international has plenty of admirers, including Carlo Ancelotti from their time working together at Madrid, with the legendary Italian saying: “I want to highlight Camavinga’s performance tonight, as he was spectacular.”

Strangely, Camavinga has fallen out of favour at Madrid, which could help Liverpool in their efforts to sign him, so it could be an ideal outcome for all parties.

He is a class act in possession, completing 91.6% and 92.5 of his passes in La Liga and the Champions League this season, but he also works tirelessly off the ball – something that has been sorely lacking among the Reds’ midfielders all year long.

Camavinga can also play at left-back, if needed, which only aids the depth in Liverpool’s squad, so there is very little not to like about them signing him in the summer transfer window.
