Daniel Farke to blame as Leeds United dealt Sky Sports transfer exit bombshell – View

Leeds United midfielder Ao Tanaka is reportedly open to leaving the club this summer, and it’s down to Daniel Farke to change the narrative.

United’s fight to stay in the Premier League and push for a dream FA Cup run means Daniel Farke and his squad have all eyes on the task at hand.

So, transfer speculation for him will be like water off a duck’s back. But, for the fans watching on, it’s hard to ignore.

Ao Tanaka reportedly open to leaving Leeds United on bargain sum – Sky Sports journalist

A report from Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg this week has revealed that Leeds midfielder Ao Tanaka is open to leave the club this summer.

It comes after a starring performance in the FA Cup quarter-final in which Tanaka scored the opener. Then, he put his fingers in his ears during his celebration.

Plettenberg reports that a Premier League move would be Tanaka’s priority. Also, he claims that a price tag of €10-12million (£10.4million) is likely to do the trick.

Worth noting, Tanaka has two more years left on his Elland Road contract. Also, he is about to play at the World Cup for a dark horse Japan side. Not only that, but he is hopefully going to help Leeds stay in the top flight in the absence of Anton Stach.

Daniel Farke to blame if Leeds United lose Ao Tanaka on £10.4m bargain

Let’s put our reservations over the actual transfer link to one side. It’s still a concern that this has come to light regarding Tanaka.

Tanaka was the best midfielder in the Championship last season. And, he has shown multiple times this season that he’s more than good enough to play regularly in the Premier League.

However, Farke has given him just 763 minutes in the league. His last start came away to Brentford in December, where he was poor, granted.

But, to be completely pushed out to the fringes after one off day doesn’t sit right at all with me. He’s shown against a direct relegation rival that we need to finish above, that he’s good enough to play more than Farke has been willing.

If he is to leave, and to leave for such a measly sum, it’s Farke that’s caused this situation to befall Tanaka and the club. The same for Largie Ramazani.
