The pair were asked to name the best Premier League goal ever in the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast.
Wright immediately responded with a West Ham legend’s unforgettable strike, and Keane could not disagree.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright call Paolo Di Canio’s volley the best Premier League goal ever
Wright picked Paolo Di Canio’s famous volley against Wimbledon as the greatest goal in Premier League history.
The former AC Milan and Juventus player let the ball come across his body before scissor-kicking it past the goalkeeper into the opposite corner.
“I’d probably go with Di Canio (as number one),” Wright said. “Di Canio,” Keane agreed.

Even though he was not so sure, Gary Neville then concluded: “Okay, so Di Canio is number one.”
While there have been many goals from further distances, you will struggle to find one with more technical quality.

Indeed, many of his 47 goals for the Hammers showed a touch of magic that few others have replicated in claret and blue.
