Aston Villa have confirmed their first pre-season friendly of the summer.
The match will be played at Kai Tak Stadium, the city’s newest state-of-the-art sporting venue, which has a capacity of 50,000.
It will be Villa’s first match in Hong Kong for 15 years, following a series of pre-season tours in the United States and Australia.
Villa beat Bayern in the Champions League league phase last season, securing a 1–0 victory at Villa Park thanks to a second-half goal from Jhon Durán.
The club has confirmed that additional fixtures in the Far East will be announced in due course, alongside domestic pre-season friendlies.
