A Nottingham Forest fan has sadly passed away following the Europa League quarter-final match against FC Porto. Vitor Pereira's team took on the Portuguese heavyweights at the Estadio do Dragao on Thursday evening.
The supporter was reportedly an 84-year-old Englishman. As per Portuguese media, emergency services were alerted just after midnight and despite attempts to resuscitate him, the man was declared dead in Praca General Humberto Delgado in central Porto.
It is believed that the fan died of natural causes, with no suggestion of any criminal involvement. The body was later removed by the Porto Volunteer Firefighters and transported to the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences in Porto for a post-mortem examination.
