Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign Yan Diomande as a replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Reds will be in need of a new winger this summer after news broke earlier this month that Salah will leave after nine years at Anfield, and are reported to be targeting a different style of attacker to Salah in a bid to evolve their game.
The forward signed a new two-year contract in April 2025, but both parties have "reached an agreement" which will see him depart a year before his deal was due to expire. That means Liverpool will not receive a transfer fee for the 33-year-old, but are set to save a significant amount on his hefty wages.
And the Daily Mail claim that RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande is of interest, having been followed extensively by the Reds. However, it is said that the Bundesliga side want €100million (£87.3m) for the young star, and this could put Liverpool and other suitors off.
Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are also said to be interested alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

It is reported that interest in Diomande comes as the Reds have 'noticed' the need to focus on signing a more tricky, pacey winger to unlock a deep defence. Other names linked include Yankuba Minteh, Bazoumana Toure, Francisco Conceicao, Anthony Gordon, Bradley Barcola and Rodrygo.
Liverpool's reported focus on a different type of winger has previously been referenced by Reds boss Arne Slot who admits the Premier League has changed.
He said: "We are aware that football has changed in England. We will always try to have our own style, but we cannot shut our eyes for the new reality.

"And that it's not only low blocks, it's also set-piece after set-piece after set-piece. One of the reasons why we haven't been successful in the first half of the season was mainly set-pieces. Yes, I'm fully involved in next season and we have these discussions as well.
"How can we unlock a low block? Wingers are very important to unlock a low block, as we noticed last season with Mo and Luis Diaz.
"Replacing Mo on a one-on-one is probably impossible. So we have to find a way of making it work that the team is stronger."
