Brentford vs Everton: Premier League Gameweek 32, 2026

A potential six-pointer is on the cards this weekend as Brentford host Everton in a game which could have huge ramifications for each club's quest for European football next season.

Keith Andrews's side has exceeded all expectations this season with the bees finding themselves 7th in the Premier League and just three points off fifth.

Following seven years at Brentford Thomas Frank left to join Spurs, and his successor Andrews has maintained the momentum they've gathered since promotion to the Premier League in 2021.

However in recent weeks the Bees have only managed one win in six, which came against Burnley in a dramatic 4-3 victory.

Brentford were 2-0 up against Wolves but failed to see it out last time out at the GTECH Community Stadium.

Following a strong victory, three weeks ago against Chelsea it seems that Everton have the momentum in the battle for Europe.

A brace from Beto and a strike from Iliman Ndiaye wrapped up the points for the Blues as David Moyes's side look like they've slowly started to gel at their new home.

On their travels this season the Blues have picked up strong victories over Newcastle United , Aston Villa and Manchester United.

Everton are fourth in the away form table which is only bettered by Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Toffees have won three of their last four games, with the only defeat coming against league leaders Arsenal.

Both team have identical records of 13 wins, 7 draws and 11 defeats and both sit on 46 points.

Key Players

Brentford: Igor Thiago

Recently called up by Carlo Ancelotti for the Brazil squad, there's a strong chance that Thiago is Brazil's starting striker for this summer's World Cup.

Signed in 2024 from Clue Brugge, the 24-year-old only featured eight times as his campaign was plagued with injuries.

However this season Thiago has scored 22 goals in all competitions for the Bees and has shown how much of a handful he is.

In the reverse fixture the Brazilian bagged a hat-trick with three clever finishes. Thiago's first goal he managed to get free from Michael Keane, and slide in from close range.

His second and third shown his quality when he's left unmarked and has space to run into as he was one v one with Jordan Pickford and managed to dink him twice.

Everton have experienced the threat of Thiago and the different finishes that he can offer.

Everton: James Garner

During the international break James Garner got called up by Thomas Tuchel for England and starred in the 1-1 draw against Uruguay. The 24-year-old was named Man of the Match.

For Everton, Garner has arguably been their best player as this season he has elevated his game and has started dictating them by himself.

Garner threaded a pass from his own half which cut open the Chelsea defence and led to Beto opening the scoring for the Blues.

The former Manchester United man has got two goals and six assists so far this season which surpassed his goals and assist tally in his previous three seasons.

The midfielder has started all 31 games for Everton this season and has made 93 tackles alongside 50 interceptions proving how combative he is for the Blues.
