The Clarets go in search of a long-overdue home win, having not won in the league at Turf Moor since October – or 175 days ago to be exact.

Their form on the road hasn’t been much better either, with Scott Parker’s side winning just one of their last 22 league encounters.

It leaves their survival hopes hanging by a thread, sitting 10 points adrift of safety with only seven games remaining.

As for the Seagulls, they beat Liverpool 2-1 before the break to leave them in 10th place, well in contention for a European spot.

Scott Parker’s pre-match comments

“They're a very good team.

“I think firstly a football club that has got clear direction, you see that in terms of the players they recruit, they're very much similar.

“Managers they recruit, very, very similar and I think the style of play is, whether it's one manager or the last manager or the one before that, their way of playing is very, very consistent.

“This is a team that over the last six, seven years have consistently played that way really and you can see that.

“So a brilliant coach at this moment who's coming off a very good run and had a very good season. So big quality in their team and I think we've seen that over this year and certainly seen it in their last fixtures. So a good side, which we're going to need to be fully prepared for.”

What are the predicted teams?

Burnley: Dubravka, Walker, Humphreys, Esteve, Hartman, Florentino, Ugochukwu, Ward-Prowse, Edwards, Anthony, Flemming

Brighton: Verbruggen, Wieffer, van Hecke, Boscagli, Kadioglu, Milner, Gross, Minteh, Hinshelwood, Mitoma, Welbeck

Who is the referee?

Tom Bramall. He’s overseen 26 games so far this season, dishing out 103 yellow cards and four reds. He took charge of Burnley’s 1-1 draw over Nottingham Forest back in September. Peter Bankes is on VAR duty.
