Jamie Carragher ranks David Moyes as Everton’s second-best manager ever
Everton are planning to offer Moyes a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Carragher has hailed Moyes only behind the great Kendall as Everton’s second-best manager.

“Brilliant. Listen, I love David Moyes. I think he’s been a brilliant Everton manager,” said Carragher.
“He is the best Everton manager since Howard Kendall. There have been a few managers there, but what he did the first time around was fantastic, and what he is doing right now is amazing as well.
“They are only three or four points off the European positions. I mean, they have a really good chance if the next couple of weeks go well for them to be right in the mix.”
Moyes targeted European qualification at the start of the season, and that pipe dream has turned into reality for the Blues.
If the 62-year-old was to secure European football for next season, then it would be a huge achievement.
However, landing Champions League football again for Everton would be something that no one would have ever even imagined was possible.
The Friedkins have brought a lot of positive change on Merseyside, but none bigger than Moyes, who they must now secure for another few years.
