There are plenty of positives to take from West Ham’s 4-0 victory over Wolves — a result that lifted the club out of the Premier League relegation zone.
It was an emphatic win in a must-win game, piling huge pressure on rivals Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Since arriving in January, Pablo has felt like a bit of a mystery. His presence improves the team, and his energy and pressing have clearly played a role in Nuno Espírito Santo getting more out of the squad.
But the goals haven’t come, and at times there have been technical flaws that have held him back.

That’s why his assist against Wolves mattered.
Earlier in the game, a deft header had already set Castellanos away, but when the key moment came, Pablo delivered. A clever flick and tidy piece of skill opened things up, and the relief in his celebration said everything — both players pointing at each other, each trying to give the other the credit.

There’s always been effort — pressing, tackling, winning the ball back — but that’s not what you want to be highlighting most about a striker.
Until that first half against Wolves, he hadn’t even registered a shot on target.
That’s why this felt significant and I’m delighted for him.

It’s refreshing to see a striker putting in the work and contributing in meaningful moments.
Especially when compared to Niclas Füllkrug, who, despite his obvious talent, never really looked invested and appeared to join the club for the wrong reasons.
Now, West Ham finally have a strike partnership willing to work for the team — and that could make all the difference in the fight for survival.
