**Journalist Pete O’Rourke has now outlined what it may take for Arne Slot to be sacked as Liverpool’s head coach at the end of the season.**
Slot has lost a huge amount of the Reds fanbase, following a dismal campaign full of terrible results, boring football and a weak mentality on show.
Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat away to Paris Saint-Germain was the latest limp showing by Liverpool, and it is extremely hard to see them turning things around in their Champions League quarter-final tie.

_“Look, it’s getting harder and harder for Arne Slot to remain as Liverpool manager. The focus is on trying to qualify for the Champions League and at least getting fifth place but that’s going to be a difficult task too. They’ve got a tough run in, Liverpool._
_“It’s constant scrutiny on Slot right now as well, and as you said, it looks like they’re going to end up with no silverware this season. If they miss out qualifying for next season’s Champions League through their league finish, then that could be the final nail in the coffin for Slot.”_

Slot will know how precarious his job is, even though he is trying his best to remain laid-back in interviews, and victory at home to Fulham in the league on Saturday is paramount.
Liverpool are only five points ahead of the Cottagers, with Merseyside rivals Everton also lurking, highlighting the importance of all three points at Anfield.
Sadly, it is so easy to once again see this Reds side slipping up, though, with the general feeling of unrest at the club clear, ahead of protests regarding increased ticket prices.
For Slot, he will know that finishing below fifth and out of the Champions League places will not be good enough to keep his job, and only winning the Champions League will surely save him if that happens.
