Report including 'leaked information' suggests Everton are planning for life without Jack…

Everton hope to bring Jack Grealish back for the 2026/27 campaign.

Several reports have claimed the Manchester City loanee is understood to be keen on a return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and David Moyes is also in favour of Everton signing the England international again.

However, it may have to be a permanent move. The 30-year-old will only have 12 months left on his contract at Manchester City at the end of this season, so the Citizens would effectively be releasing Jack Grealish on a free transfer one year early by agreeing another loan deal.

Now, a story from Sportsboom shares a detail about Southampton No.13 and Everton target Leo Scienza which suggests The Friedkin Group are preparing for life without the Aston Villa academy graduate.

Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?

Leo Scienza plays in the same position as Jack Grealish, and Everton view Brazilian as an immediate starter

It was ESPN who first revealed that Everton like Scienza after the South American tormented Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Sportsboom have now interestingly added that ‘leaked information’ shows the Toffees view the 27-year-old as someone capable of walking straight into the starting XI on the left of attack, and he is deemed a ‘key’ transfer target.

It suggests Everton might not be too hopeful of bringing Grealish back, considering he also plays on the left of the attack.

The Brummie is a vastly experienced player deemed one of the top performers in the Premier League when fit, so if Everton expected him to return and reoccupy his place on the left flank next season, there would surely be no need to pursue a potential starter for his position in Scienza.

It remains to be seen what happens, but with Everton also monitoring Said El Mala – BILD say a bid is expected – it very much seems like The Friedkin Group are preparing for life without Grealish.
