The Manchester United team news for Monday night’s visit of Leeds United to Old Trafford.
Red Devils boss Michael Carrick has delivered his Manchester United team news for Monday night’s Premier League visit of Leeds United to Old Trafford for which a pair have been ruled out.
Danish international winger Patrick Dorgu has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in January's 3-2 win at Arsenal although the 21-year-old was included as part of the squad that travelled to Dublin in midweek for an intensive training camp.
Dorgu, though, has been ruled out of Monday night’s visit of Leeds along with centre-back Matthijs de Ligt who remains on the comeback trail from a back injury.
In better news for the Red Devils, Lisandro Martinez has been confirmed as back available having missed his side’s last five games with a calf injury but fellow centre-back Harry Maguire had already been confirmed as suspended as he serves a one-match ban.
Providing his team news at Saturday’s pre-match press conference, boss Carrick said: “Lisandro's back, Patrick's back on the grass but he's further away, he's not back on the grass with the team, he's back as part of his rehab. And other than that, really, we're in good shape.”
On De Ligt, Carrick said: “Just treatment and rehab. The reason he didn't come, he's not quite on the grass. Patrick came with us and Pat's at that stage a little bit further on. Matta's not quite at that stage yet, so it was important for him to... to continue his rehab really and try and get him back there's nothing else really around it.”
