Suddenly [Taty Castellanos](https://www.claretandhugh.info/castellanos-admission-means-west-ham-are-counting-down-the-days/) looks a Premier League goal scorer rather than just a willing, hardworking participant. His brace last night might not have been pretty or the most photogenic but it is unlikely he’ll score more important goals during his West Ham career.
Indeed, his West Ham partner and fellow January arrival **Pablo Felipe** finally broke his Hammers statistics ‘duck’ with a very neat assist for Castellanos’ first goal.

According to Nuno, there’s much more to come from the young bearded Portuguese striker who isn’t just there to work his socks off and create goals for his front man partner.

Indeed Pablo _almost_ had his first Hammers goal in the first half with a low right foot shot that forced Jose Sa into a fine low save to deny him.
With Taty and Mavropanos now amongst the goals, the pressure is off Bowen and Summerville to carry out the rescue of their club between them. Summerville was obviously a little ring rusty yet still managed to steal the ball back to start the build up for Castellanos’ first.
If Nuno has it right and there are goals on the way from Pablo, _West Ham will find their hopes in the run in (along with their points per game tally) hugely improved._ Castellanos has five since January – how Nuno would welcome a similar input from Pablo between now and the season end.
Pablo could pay back West Ham’s trust and their £20 million investment (wherever half the cash went!) if he can start scoring regularly: He’ll also win over the doubters _who have been voicing concerns that he can’t cut it in the top tier_ in the most emphatic manner.
