Leeds United face bitter rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Manchester United’s youngsters have landed an early blow ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford in a Whites youngsters battle.
Daniel Farke’s Whites and Michael Carrick’s Red Devils will lock horns in a huge battle at both ends of the Premier League table on Monday night but the two clubs’ under-18s firstly faced off on Saturday afternoon at Thorp Arch in an under-18s Premier League clash.
The first half of the contest ended goalless but Jay McEvoy fired the visitors in front four minutes after the restart.
Leeds keeper George Kenyon then fouled Manchester United youngster Gabriel in the area with five minutes left and Gabriel himself stepped up to take the spot kick.
Kenyon saved the spot kick but Gabriel was still able to net following up the rebound to seal a 2-0 win for his side as the young Red Devils struck a blow.
