Mohamed Salah was one of five changes for Liverpool against Fulham
Arne Slot admitted he wanted to make more changes for Saturday's Premier League clash against Fulham but had to select certain players as he was "out of options".
Slot made five changes for the match, which is sandwiched in between the Champions League double header against Paris Saint-Germain. That included the return of Mohamed Salah, who was not even called off the bench in the midweek loss in France.
Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha also started, with Joe Gomez, Milos Kerkez, ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Hugo Ekitike dropping to the bench.

But Slot said he wanted to make more changes given the physical demands of the PSG encounters.
"Indeed we made five changes, I think that made complete sense after the week we've had that has been very demanding physically and mentally and only a two-day turnaround again with everything that that's coming up for us this week," he told Sky Sports before the game.
"So I tried to use the training session yesterday to see who was well enough recovered and who wasn't and some of them just have to play again because I'm out of options in those positions."

Asked how the players fared in training this week, Slot replied: "I think a few of them come in now that haven't played normal playing time but not every single time, so and it's always a privilege to play for this club, let alone in front of our own fans.
"Fresh players are, on experienced players are on, young players are on, so a lot of ingredients to expect a good game."

For Robertson and Salah, the pair started their first games at Anfield since the news of their summer exits was confirmed. Both will leave the club for free at the end of the season.
For Ngumoha, he was handed just his second-ever league start, while Alexander Isak was named on the bench after recently recovering from his broken leg.
Like Liverpool, Fulham is also in the hunt for a European place, with Marco Silva's side beginning the weekend in ninth place.
