Everton held Brentford to a 2-2 draw in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
David Moyes’ side weren’t at their best, certainly not in comparison to the Chelsea display, but they still managed to collect a decent point on the road.
Everton scored a stoppage-time equaliser at the Gtech Community Stadium, so spirits were high at the full-time whistle.

Jordan Pickford says he and Caoimhin Kelleher were standout performers in Everton vs Brentford
Pickford modestly suggested post-match that he and Brentford goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher were among the Man of the Match contenders in West London.
“Me and Caoimhin (Kelleher) both had a good game today, we both made important saves throughout, and that’s what we’re here to do. “
The Everton shot-stopper made two saves whilst Kelleher made four – which all came from inside his own penalty area.

Pickford also discussed the penalty incident, which saw him concede a spot-kick after hauling down Kevin Schade.
“Disappointed with the penalty, just caught his foot, just one of those things. But we showed character and team spirit throughout.”
He also reflected on Everton’s overall performance against the Bees: “Disappointed, we weren’t good enough in the first 20 minutes of both halves, but we showed resilience and Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall) with a great finish at the end, and the never-say-die attitude got us over the line.”
It was absolutely crucial that the Toffees avoided defeat this afternoon, as it was effectively a European six-pointer.
Moyes’ side still remain in the hunt for a top seven finish, and there’s actually still an outside chance of Champions League football.
