Opta’s supercomputer predicts Everton to miss out on Europe
Quite surprisingly, the supercomputer expects Brighton to now get into the last European spot, with Everton missing out.
As evinced below, the software has Moyes’ side finishing on 55 points, which would only be enough for eighth place.

Opta’s supercomputer predicted table
It was clearly moved by Brighton’s 2-0 win against Burnley on Saturday, which saw them move one point behind the Toffees in the actual table.

Interestingly, the current occupants of the Conference League spot, Brentford, are expected to drop down two places to ninth come the end of the season.
If the Merseysiders were to finish on 55 points, they’d only pick up eight points from a possible 18, which would be a little disappointing.
Looking at the fixtures, Everton play four teams in the bottom half of the table, so they’ll be targeting maximum points in those games.
Based on the last five seasons’ average, 60 points would secure Everton European football, so they need another 13 points.
