The right-back scored twice as his side won 2-0 at Burnley.
After five wins in six games, talk - certainly outside the camp - is suddenly turning to a push for Europe.
More experienced players have led the way although two of them – James Milner and Lewis Dunk – were not available this time.
Wieffer spoke about the recent revival and said: “We spoke with each other, also with the more mature players in our team.
“Of course, James Milner, Pascal Gross, James Milner, Danny Welbeck.
“We had a lot of good conversations with each other to work hard, also if we don’t play well.
“Also today we didn’t play maybe our best football the whole game.
“In the end, if you work hard, press the opponent and create chances out of that, it helps the team a lot. Today that helped again.
“That is the man thing that changed in the last couple of games I think.”
Albion completed a 2-0 double over the Clarets and the home part of that, on January 3, was their only win during tough mid-winter months.
The poor run ended when Milner came into the side at Brentford but this was the first win of the current upturn without both him and Dunk.
Wieffer said: “We had maybe one win out of 13 games. It was not a nice start, let’s say that.
“We told everybody the truth and things can change quickly if everybody is on the same page and everybody wants to work for their team-mates
“We turned it around and the last couple of games we got good results.”
