"It's great" - Leeds United praise as Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton agree on Man United match…

Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton have given their predictions for Leeds United’s clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton agree in their predictions for Leeds United’s huge clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford featuring Whites praise but ultimately a home victory.

Daniel Farke’s Whites will finally resume their bid for Premier League survival with Monday night’s Roses derby against the Red Devils, ahead of which the Leeds cushion back to the dropzone has been slashed by West Ham’s Friday night win against Wolves.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have not played since the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on the Friday night before the international break, a game in which Harry Maguire was sent off.

Maguire will now be suspended for Monday night’s visit of Leeds but Sutton and Shearer are both predicting a Red Devils victory, despite particularly rich praise from Sutton for Farke and his team.

“It’s great to see them at Wembley”

In his predictions column for BBC Sport, Sutton went for a 2-1 win for the hosts but declared: “I love the job Daniel Farke has done at Leeds United and it's great to see them at Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final, but the worry is that they picked up a few injuries in their win over West Ham.

“Michael Carrick has really turned Manchester United around, to the extent where they are basically nailed on for Champions League football next season.

“I don't think anyone would back against them at Old Trafford at the moment, either. I can only see a home win here, with Bruno Fernandes being integral again.”

Giving his predictions in his Metro column, Shearer also went for a Manchester United win as he reasoned: “This is a big game and a big rivalry. Michael Carrick is doing a brilliant job and I’m pleased for him. If it was away, then it might be different, but because it’s at Old Trafford, then I think Man United will have enough to win.

“It’s not always a good thing not playing for a long period of time because you can come into it a bit rusty and depending on what they’ve had off and where they’ve been and all of those things. But in the main, I think they’ve had such a relatively easy season anyway because of no European football. So, it should work in their favour.”
