"We are too" - Willy Gnonto's Leeds United and Man United rivalry verdict with declaration on…

Willy Gnonto has sized up Leeds United’s Monday night clash against fierce rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Leeds will finally resume their bid for Premier League survival with Monday evening’s showdown at Old Trafford, ahead of which 12 places and 22 points separate the two teams in the table.

Gnonto, though, insists Leeds still remain in a good position in their bid for top-flight survival and believes that reaching the team’s best levels will give his side a “pretty good chance” of victory at Old Trafford.

“We are too to be fair”

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Gnonto was asked what Leeds needed to try do in order to get all three points and reasoned: “Just play at our best.

"We know that since we played them last time it's a totally different team. They are in a good position right now. We are too to be fair.

"I think it's going to be an open game and we just have to play our best. I think we have a pretty good chance."

Pressed for his verdict on the rivalry between the two clubs, Gnonto said: “I think it's good to understand that it's a different game.

"But at the same time you don't have to let it get to your head because you don't want to play too much with emotion.

"We just have to treat it as a normal game I would say, even if it's not.

"Leave the emotions to the fans and just try and give our best like we have always done and I'm sure we have a good chance."
