Joelinton has been a vital player for Newcastle United this season, but the Magpies will have to endure a period without him as a result of his display against Crystal Palace

Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton will be suspended for the next two matches after he picked up a yellow card against Crystal Palace. Eddie Howe deployed the Brazilian international in the midfield at Selhurst Park.
However, Howe will have to reshuffle his midfield for the home clash against Bournemouth next week and the away battle with Arsenal on April 25. Joelinton will have to serve a two-match suspension after his latest booking for the Toon.
He was given a yellow card after his clumsy and mis-timed tackle on Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta in the second half. As well as getting him in the book, it will also send him to the stands until May.
His booking at Selhurst Park was his tenth of the campaign. Ten yellow cards accumulated across the Premier League campaign results in a two-match ban in the top division.
This will be a huge bother for Howe, who has two huge matches on the horizon after Palace. Given the fact Mateta has also just equalised for Palace, after William Osula stabbed Newcastle into the lead in the first half, Joelinton's absence will be felt heavily.
Newcastle are still hoping to finish the campaign in the European places, but Joelinton's absence will make this even harder. His tenth booking comes less than three weeks after he picked up his ninth.
He was the sole Newcastle player to be given a yellow card in the 1-0 home loss to Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear Derby. Joelinton was booked after his angry altercation with the Black Cats players, who were stopping him from getting the ball while Brian Brobbey was celebrating his late winner.
