Moyes was actually pretty disappointed with Everton’s display, although they certainly showed mettle to come back from behind twice.

Brentford boss Keith Andrews was full of praise for one Toffees figure, speaking in his post-match press conference.

Andrews hailed Moyes after the game, explaining that he greatly admires the Scotsman and the job he’s currently doing back on Merseyside.

“I’m also a huge traditionalist and I have huge respect for what managers like David who have achieved so much in the game over such a long period,” the Bees boss stated.

“I think what he has achieved now both times at Everton has been pretty special. I think the way he conducts himself is just class, just very, very classy.

Moyes has evidently done a fantastic job in his second spell for Everton, and his side actually have a genuine chance of qualifying for the Conference or perhaps even the Europa League.

The Toffees are level on points with Brentford in seventh, and just one behind Chelsea in sixth.

Although Opta’s supercomputer expects Everton to finish in eighth, just missing out on a top-seven finish.
